ASSAN GIDA A.S. is a subsidiary of
KIBAR HOLDING , a leading conglomerate in Turkey involved
in the production of industrial products such as passenger
cars commercial vehicles , galvanized steel sheets,
aluminium & packaging materials etc.
As the first foodstuff investment of KIBAR HOLDING,
ASSAN GIDA A.S. was established in February 1998 and
is planned to include various food items such as tomato
paste,

canned/frozen fruits and vegetables, ready
meals, ketchup, mayonnaise, various sauces, jams & marmalades.
ASSAN GIDA's initial investment was into Turkey's most modern
and state -of-art tomato paste plant, built within only 4
months from April 1998 until August 1998. With a capacitiy
of 20.000 M/Tons of double concentrate tomato paste, this
first plant has cost 10,2 million Dollars. It is clearly one
of the Europe's most high-tech and hygienic plant, furnished
with Rossi & Catelli equipment of Parma , Italy.
Further investments followed within 1999, covering a complete
fruit and vegetable canning line from FMC-Belgium, a complete
ketchup and sauces filling line from GHERRI_S.p.A, and a new
aseptic tomato paste filling system, the 1999 capital expenditures
amount to 3 million USD. ASSAN GIDA is mainly an export -
oriented company. 80% of the total production is sold to export
markets.
The plant is located in the boundaries of Susurluk belonging
to the province Balikesir. It is an immense land covering
172.400 mē sufficient to accomodate all the investments of
the company. The head-office is in Istanbul.80% of the ASSAN
GIDA shares belong to KIBAR HOLDING companies and persons;
20% belong to the professional management
The products of ASSAN GIDA are sold under the brand-name 'KINGTOM'
